Holokai Catamaran · Waikiki Beach
You walk down the sand from the Outrigger Reef, board a beach catamaran from the beach and sail toward Diamond Head with an open bar. It is the cheapest sunset on this site and the easiest to reach from a Waikiki hotel, as long as you don't need dinner.

Holokai is a 49-passenger beach catamaran built in 2015 for the waters off Waikiki. Check-in is at Holokai's desk in the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, 2169 Kalia Road, and the crew walks you 5 to 10 minutes along the sand to the boat, according to the Holokai sunset sail page. There is no harbor, shuttle or bus: most Waikiki hotels are within a 10-minute walk.
The sail lasts 90 minutes. From October to February it runs 5:00 to 6:30 PM with check-in at 4:30 PM; from March to September it runs 5:30 to 7:00 PM with check-in at 5:00 PM. The open bar has juice, soda, Bud Light, Corona, Maui Brewing craft beers, a pinot grigio, champagne, hard seltzers and the house "Holokai Hooch" of passion orange guava juice, peach schnapps and dark rum. There is no food.
Two rules matter. The Friday sail is for adults 21 and over only (Saturday to Thursday welcome all ages), and you must sign a waiver online before you arrive. Reviews average 4.7 from 623, with praise for the crew; the critical ones mention a crowded deck, a quiet atmosphere for those who wanted a party, and two cancellations in a row for one guest. Holokai's own site lists $80 for guests 13 and over and $45 for ages 4 to 12.
Holokai's desk is past the hotel check-in on the right, toward the back, across from Monkeypod Kitchen, per Holokai's FAQ.
The crew walks the group 5 to 10 minutes to the boarding point, which shifts with the tide.
Drinks start flowing as the catamaran heads out along Waikiki.
The boat waits for the sunset with the skyline behind you.
Step off on the beach and walk to dinner.
